What famous landmarks have you visited?

400. What famous landmarks have you visited?

About ten years ago or so, my family and I took a trip to Jackson Hole, Wyoming for a month. Even though Wyoming is hours away, my parents thought it would be a good idea for us to drive. However, on the way there, we stopped by all kinds of National Parks like Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Zion, the Tetons, Mount Rushmore, and a few more. I was around six on this road trip, so I absolutely hated walking around on trails and going on hikes in the hot summer.
While we were at these National Parks, they always had something fun for the kids to do on the tours. I remember doing scavenger hunts for different animals or plants at the park, or doing a camp like session for kids where we learned about the parks and why they were special. The one thing I remember the most was the little, gold “National Park Ranger” pins. My sister an I collected them over the span of our trip, and we ended up with over ten each.

Human Nature

I believe that humans are fundamentally good, but everyone is different. Everyone starts out good, but they are then confronted with decisions that shape what they are truly like.  I believe this because I have seen people from different backgrounds, parents, and parts of the world. For example, I went back to Tyler, TX, where I lived before here, and I saw how much all of my friends had changed from when we were kids and how different they were from my friends who grew up in Baton Rouge. Growing up in different environments changes the way people think and act.        Even though I think people are fundamentally good, I believe that people have free will to compliment or change that. Everyone in the world is flawed in someway, and that is caused by peoples decisions. Those decisions can lead to changes in judgement. So, if someones judgement is changed, that may change the way they view and feel about different situations. But, peop...

Concert

This summer, my family and I went on a huge road trip to North Carolina and Washington DC. While we were in the car, we always listened to John Mayer's new album, the Search for Everything. As we listened to it more and more, my whole family started to really love it, and we associated it with our summer. We would listen to it in the car, at cook outs, and just around the house.        As our summer came to an end, my mom asked us if we wanted to go to his concert. I wasn't super excited about it because it was the night before orientation day, so I decided not to go. School was nearing and my sister, Emily, was so excited for the concert, but I didn't want summer to end. The day before orientation day, I went to go get a hair cut, and when I was done it was around 4 pm. My mom asked my on the way home, "Do you want to go to the John Mayer concert?" I was so confused because my sister was about to leave in thirty minutes, and I didn't kno...
